Büyükgöz'e düşen..!

Mesleğe başladığımızdan bugüne, tanıdığımız belediye başkanlarının mesleki sınıflandırmasını yaptığımızda Gebze'nin, Zinnur Büyükgöz ile kentsel bir şans yakaladığını söylememiz yanlış olmasa gerek. 

İlk ve kısa süreli tanıdığımız başkan Sedat Tüze idi. 12 Eylül darbesinin görevden aldığı merhum Tüze'nin meslek hanesinde ''tüccar'' yazardı.
Ardından cuntanın Gebze Belediye Başkanı olarak göreve atadığı isim ise emekli binbaşı Kubilay İlgün 'dü. Askerdi. Demokrasiye geçişle beraber Gebzelilerin sandıktan çıkardıkları isim matbaacı-otelci Bülent Atasayan oldu. Ardından öğretmen M. Emin Akın göreve seçildi.
Rahmetli Ahmet Penbegüllü inşaat mühendisydi. Ara başkanlıklar yapan Malkoç ile Hüseyin Öztürk'ün de kent ve şehir bilgi ve becerileri yoktu. Penbegüllü'den sonra görevi devr alan İbrahim Pehlivan'ın mülküyeli, genç bir kaymakam olduğunu bilenler bilir. Son başkan Adnan Köşker sanayici-iş adamıydı. Endüstri mühendisi olması sadece becerilerini kamçılıyordu.
Anlaşılacağı gibi bugünün reisi Zinnur Büyükgöz'e kadar görev yapan Gebze belediye başkanlarının tümü şehir planından, kent yapılandırmasından uzak eğitimlere sahiptiler.
Geldiğimiz noktada , Zinnur Büyükgöz'le Gebze'nin şehir ve kent bilincinde şansı ele geçirdiğini söyleyebiliriz.

Gebze Belediye Başkanı Zinnur Büyükgöz'ün kartvizitinde ''şehir planlamacısı'' yazmış olması kendisine kariyer kattığı ölçüde, Gebze'nin yapılaşması, modern şehirciliğe dönüşü, kentin yeniden imarı açısından da önemlidir.
Zira şehri yöneten insanın şehir planlamacısı olması, teknik donatıya sahip bulunması o şehir için bir şanstır. Bugün Gebze , Büyükgöz'le bu şansı yakalamış görünüyor. Büyükgöz'ün öncesinde de aynı kurumda ikinci adam görevinde bulunması da elbette tecrübe anlamında önemlidir.

Belediyeciliği bilen, Gebze'yi tanıyan, sorunlara ve beklentilere vakıf bir şehremeni var bugün. Üstelik şehir planlamacısı.
Son yirmi yıldır Gebze'yi dava arkadaşları ve aynı zihniyet yönettiğine göre Büyükgöz'ün geriye bakmadan, öncekilere gönderme ve bindirme yapmadan sadece işine adapte olması gerekiyor. Çünkü Gebze'nin Büyükgöz'den beklentisi çok ve kaybedecek tek bir gün bile olmamalı.
Büyükgöz'e düşen: aldığı eğitimin, vardığı tecrübenin, gördüğü eksikliğin, tesbit ettiği sorunların hakkını vermektir. Şehirse al sana koca bir şehir.

For the last twenty years, Gebze has been ruled by his colleagues and the same mentality, and Büyükgöz needs to adapt only to his work without looking back, making reference to the previous ones. Because Gebze's expectations from Büyükgöz are high and there should not be a single day to lose.
It is up to Büyükgöz to give the right to the education, the experience, the lack, and the problems identified. The city is a big city.
